The Neo-Geo home system is notorious for having poor video quality for the US market. With the help of this S-Video mod, you can greatly enhance your gaming experience on the Neo-Geo. While you are adding S-Video output, you might as well add a standard Composite Video jack, Stereo Output, and a Power LED. These instructions will guide you through the process of installing these modifications.

These modifications requires some basic soldering experience and a general understanding of electronics. If done wrong, you could damage your Neo-Geo system, or cause electrical shock to yourself. This document is only a guide. This modification is in no way endorsed by SNK. You assume all risks by performing these modifications.

To get started, you will need to make sure you have all the necessary components to perform the mod. Here is a list of what you need and what is included in this kit:
 
  • 2 x NPN Transistors
  • 4 x 110k 1/4 or 1/2 watt Resistors
  • 4 x 10k 1/4 or 1/2 watt Resistors
  • 2 x 100uf 25v Electrolytic Capacitors
  • 2 x 0.1uf 25v Monolithic Ceramic Capacitors
  • 1 x 75ohm 1/4 or 1/2 watt Resistor
  • 1 x 33ohm 1/4 or 1/2 watt Resistor
  • 1 x S-Video Jack
  • 1 x Yellow Composite Video Jack
  • 1 x Red/White Stereo Jack set
  • 1 x Red Ultra-Bright LED
  • 1 x 160ohm 1/4 or 1/2 watt Resistor
